• Mailing list: your email address when you join the "stay in quiet touch" list.
• Basic technical data: standard server logs (approximate location, browser, referring page) collected by our hosting provider to keep the site secure and functioning.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone, ever.

• To respond to notes you send through the contact form.
• To send occasional updates if you have joined the list.
• To keep the site secure and improve how it works.
• To comply with the law when we are legally required to.

To run this site and reply to you, we use a small number of trusted providers who process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms:

• Hosting and site delivery.
• Email and contact management (a CRM/email platform that stores the notes and email addresses you submit).

These providers may store your data in the United States or other regions. We choose providers that offer reasonable industry safeguards.

This site uses only the cookies necessary to function. If we ever add analytics or performance tracking, this policy will be updated before that change goes live.

Notes sent through the contact form are kept for as long as needed to correspond with you and maintain a record of that conversation. Mailing-list emails are kept until you unsubscribe. You may ask us to delete your information at any time — see below.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain uses. To exercise any of these rights, email us using the address in the contact section of the site and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Every email from the mailing list includes a one-click unsubscribe link.

Personal stories shared through the contact form are read by Gwen. They are never shared publicly, never sold, and never quoted in a book, essay, talk, song, or social post without your written permission first.

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share, but no site or email system can be guaranteed 100% secure. Please do not send sensitive medical, financial, or legal information through the contact form.

Content on this site — including caregiver reflections and doula-adjacent writing — is offered for support and education. It is not medical, psychological, hospice, or legal advice, and it does not create a clinical or professional relationship.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above. Meaningful changes will be highlighted on this page.
